Gaming and Interactive Design

India’s gaming industry crossed Rs. 16,000 crore in 2023 and continues to grow at over 20% annually, driven by mobile gaming, PC gaming, and the global demand for Indian-developed games. The Gaming and Interactive Design program at AniMotion Institute is a comprehensive two-year course that trains you in every dimension of game production, from art and design through to game mechanics, environment building, and engine integration.

About The Course

The program covers the complete game design pipeline. You will master 3D character modelling, rigging, and animation in Autodesk Maya and Blender, learn to create game environments and assets optimised for real-time rendering, and bring everything together in Unreal Engine, the industry-leading game development platform used by studios globally. Alongside technical skills, you will develop a strong grounding in game design theory, level design, and interactive storytelling.

The gaming and interactive media sector offers some of the most exciting career paths in the creative industry today, spanning game studios, mobile game developers, AR and VR companies, film and television studios using real-time engines, and educational technology platforms. With a strong portfolio developed over two years at AniMotion, you will be positioned to enter this industry as a skilled, hireable professional.

Overview

Course Details

The two-year program is structured in four terms. The first two terms build the artistic and technical foundation: drawing fundamentals, digital art, 3D modelling, texturing, and UV mapping. The third and fourth terms advance into character animation, rigging, game asset creation, environment design, and full game engine integration in Unreal Engine. The course culminates in a final portfolio project where students create and present a complete game environment or character demo reel.
