B.Voc (Multimedia & Animation)
Most animation and multimedia institutes offer you a course. AniMotion Institute offers you a degree. The B.Voc in Multimedia and Animation is a three-year, UGC-recognised Bachelor of Vocation degree programme delivered at AniMotion Institute in academic association with Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, a NAAC B+ accredited deemed university established in 1998 and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
This programme is built for students who want more than a certificate. It gives you the full spectrum of a professional multimedia and animation education — from the fundamentals of drawing and digital design in the first year to advanced character animation, virtual production techniques, streaming media production, and entrepreneurship development in the final year — while earning a nationally recognised university degree at the end of it.
The B.Voc framework, introduced by the University Grants Commission in 2013, is uniquely designed to combine vocational skill training with academic rigour. Every semester includes a Vocational Practical component worth 10 credits, ensuring that your degree is built as much on what you can produce as on what you understand. Your portfolio grows alongside your degree, semester by semester.
What makes the AniMotion delivery of this programme different from other B.Voc centres across Mumbai is the depth of the creative environment we bring to it. Studio visits, industry masterclasses, peer critiques, and placement assistance are built into the experience at AniMotion, not added on as afterthoughts. You earn your degree at a Chembur-based institute that treats you like a professional from day one.
About The Course
A B.Voc is not just a course completion certificate. As a UGC-recognised bachelor’s degree, it carries the same credential weight as any other undergraduate degree in India. Here is what that means for you:

Overview
Course Details
The B.Voc in Multimedia and Animation is structured across six semesters over three years. The curriculum is progressive and deliberate. Year One builds the creative and technical foundation — drawing, digital art, Photoshop, Illustrator, web basics, and video editing. Year Two develops professional production skills — animation principles, 3D texturing and rigging, After Effects, and publication design. Year Three specialises you as an industry professional, covering character modelling, character animation, digital cinematography, streaming media production, virtual production techniques, and project work.
Each semester carries a 10-credit Vocational Practical component alongside four theory subjects of 4 credits each. This credit structure is aligned with UGC’s B.Voc framework and ensures that every semester produces both academic knowledge and real production output. The final semester includes a 5-credit Project Work module — your graduation project — which serves as the centrepiece of your professional portfolio.

The AniMotion Difference
Mumbai has dozens of institutes offering short courses. Across India, several centres offer the same B.Voc affiliation with Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth. What makes AniMotion’s delivery of this degree programme different is the culture we have built in Chembur. Studio visits to active production houses. Student showcases, creative townhalls, and a community that treats every student as a future professional rather than an enrollment number.
When you graduate from this programme, you leave with an UGC-recognised degree, a six-semester professional portfolio, and the identity of a trained multimedia and animation professional. That combination is rare in Mumbai’s creative education market.
